PHOTO SESSION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Waiver. By agreeing to do a photography session with Metyda Studios and its Photographer, Client is hereby Waiving,

releasing and discharging Metyda Studios and Photographer from any and all Liability, including but not limited to

liability arising from negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for death, disability, personal injury,

property damage or any actions of any kind which may occur during the photo session and during the time spent in

Studio’s premises.

Studio and Photographer are not responsible for any injuries inflicted upon any participating parties. Client(s) will

be responsible for their children and for themselves and release Photographer and Studio and from any claims

against their person or their business. The Client shall maintain control of other subjects including siblings. It is the

responsibility of the Client to ensure the cooperation of additional subjects as not to intrude immediate

photography area. The Client shall provide all necessary controls over additional subjects. If there is an individual

involved in the photo session who does not agree to the terms of this agreement the Client assumes responsibility

for any liability.

Client confirms and is obliged to attend and be present during the photo session.

Client gives permission to Photographer to take photos of newborn, kids, and minors.

Client confirms that he/she is parent or legal guardian of minor that is participating in photo session.

Electronic Devices. Cameras, phone cameras, and video are not permitted during any session unless approved by

Photographer.

All images and copyrights remain the property of the Studio and Photographer. In exchange for the services provided, the Photographer and Studio retain the exclusive rights to copy, edit, and distribute any and all images created to the general public for purposes including, but not limited to: advertising, marketing, sales, print competitions, educational seminars, and monetary gain. All digital files and previews are the exclusive property of the Photographer and Studio.

Clients are not permitted to use these images for profit, commercial purposes, professional display, or competition. However, clients may print their personal photographs and share digital images and links on their personal websites or social media accounts.

If you prefer that your images or video reels not be posted, please inform our admin before booking your session.

Deposit policy and Refund

A deposit payment of $113 ($100 + HST) is required to secure and confirm your appointment. This must be sent via e-transfer to metydastudios@gmail.com, and you must notify our admin immediately after sending the payment. The remaining balance can be paid on the day of your session.

Once the deposit is received and confirmed by our team, you will be sent an official email confirmation including all previously agreed-upon details.

Please note: All prices listed do not include HST.

 

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy:

  • The deposit is partially refundable (50%) only if cancellation notice is given at least 14 days before the appointment.

  • In case of an emergency within 14 days of your appointment, we offer a one-time rescheduling within the next 30 days. After the first reschedule, the deposit becomes fully non-refundable.

  • Appointments can only be rescheduled once. Any further changes will result in the deposit being forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to book another session.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 72 hours before the appointment will result in the loss of the deposit, and a new one will be needed to rebook.

  • No-shows will result in the deposit being retained, and a new deposit will be required for future bookings.

  • Being late by more than 20 minutes (Package 1) or 60 minutes (Package 2) will be considered a no-show.

 

 Photography services and editing services are non-refundable.

DIGITAL PHOTO DELIVERY

You will receive an email within 2 business days containing a link to download all your high-resolution, JPEG, watermark-free digital files. (Be sure to check your junk/spam folder just in case.)

Once you've downloaded and saved the photos to your computer, you can select your favorite images based on the number of edits included in your chosen package. Please reply to the same email with the last 4 digits of each selected photo file.

Our team will confirm receipt, and your edited photos will be delivered within two weeks.

Please note: All of our packages include digital files only—no hard copy prints are included. You are free to print and enlarge your photos as you wish.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

To manage storage capacity, we keep all unedited photo files for 3 months from the date of your session. During this time, you must select your favorite images for editing. After the 3-month period, we will no longer be able to accept your selections or process edits.

Your edited photos will be stored for 1 year. If you haven’t downloaded or saved them—or if they are lost for any reason—we cannot guarantee their availability after that time.

PRICES
Prices are subject to change at any time. Quoted rates are valid for 7 days, unless your session is booked and the deposit is received under previously agreed pricing.

​Everyone values their dedicated time, and our schedule is carefully managed to respect each booking. Studio appointments are strict, and due to our back-to-back sessions, we’re unable to extend your time if you arrive late. Please be sure to arrive on time so you can enjoy your full session without any interruptions.

Damage and Cleaning:

  • During winter and rainy days, all clients and guests must wear indoor shoes to help keep the studio floors clean and photography-ready. If you do not bring indoor shoes, you will be kindly asked to remove your shoes before entering the studio space. Thank you for your understanding and respect.  ​

  • Please do not step on the furniture with shoes. During fall and winter months, we ask that you wear indoor shoes or shoe covers inside the studio rooms. If you plan to take photos in your outdoor shoes, you will be asked to wipe them down before entering.

  • Candles are not permitted in the studio unless they are enclosed in glass coverings. Open flame candles can cause damage and pose safety risks. If you require candles for your session, please email or call us in advance for special permission.

  • Any damages to floors, furniture, props, V-Flats, or other studio equipment (including extensions) during your session will need to be reimbursed.

    • Broken furniture leg: $200

    • Floor damage or deep scratches: $100–$500, depending on severity

    • Furniture damage: $100–$1,000, based on the item and extent

  • Your booking grants access only to the room rented and only for the scheduled time.

By booking a session with Metyda Studios Studios, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions outlined above.
